Emma Weyant and Hali-Flickinger
Emma Weyant and Hali Flickinger won silver and bronze in the women’s 400 individual medley at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Weyant and Flickinger extended a 17-year streak of American women winning a medal in the 400 IM at every Olympics.
The gold medal went to Japanese swimmer Yui Ohashi who clocked in at 4:32.08.
Weyant and Flickinger’s medals are just the latest in an epic medal haul for the U.S. that was kicked off earlier with Chase Kalisz winning gold and Jay Litherland winning silver in the men’s 400 IM.
Kieran Smith won bronze in the 400m freestyle shortly before the U.S. women hit the pool.
