Eminem makes passionate plea to Matthew Stafford, who certainly won’t oblige

Stafford #Stafford

Eminem, who is a big Detroit Lions fan, has made a passionate plea to former Lions quarterback, Matthew Stafford, who returns to Detroit with the Rams to play in his first playoff game ever at Ford Field.

The Detroit Rapper, who has been seen in a suite at Ford Field this season and has tweeted his excitement after some big Lions wins, appears in a short video posted on X (Twitter) by Sunday Night Football on NBC, asking Stafford for a favor. It’s a favor the Rams quarterback certainly won’t intentionally oblige to.

“Stafford. What’d I say? You owe me this favor bro. I was there for you when you won it. I was there for you,” Eminem said in the video referencing Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in 2022 when the Rams won the Super Bowl.

That’s when Eminem performed with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent during the halftime show.

“I was right there. I rapped for you Stafford,” Eminem continued in the short video. “Bro, I rapped for you. Can you just let us have this one? Just this one!”

The story couldn’t have been written any better for the NFL for the Lions-Rams playoff game scheduled for Sunday night, January 14th.

Stafford returns to Detroit to play against the team who drafted him No. 1 overall in 2009. Stafford played for the Lions through the 2020 season before being traded to the Rams for draft picks and quarterback Jared Goff, who will also play against his former team. Stafford never played a home playoff game at Ford Field.

The last time the Lions hosted a playoff game was at the Pontiac Silverdome during the 1993 season, losing to the Packers. The Lions last home playoff win was against the Dallas Cowboys during the 1991 season.
