The unrest in the US has spread across many cities and the public’s fight against the police is getting worse with each passing hour. Millions of people including celebrities are speaking up against the dire situation the nation is currently facing. The movement is also receiving unflinching support from the public, only making it harder for the government to bring it under control. In one such heated debate with the Los Angeles police officers, a young man by the name Juan Ramirez is seen having an outburst of profanity while addressing the suffering of peaceful protesters at the hands of the police.
In the video, he says, “I find it disgusting that the LAPD is slaughtering peaceful protesters on streets.” Stating his own friends as examples, who were shot with rubber bullets and thrown tears gases at during a peaceful protest in Beverly Hills, Ramirez goes about abusing the police officer. Towards the end he says, “You suck my d**k and choke on it” and “I yield my time. F**k You”.
Today, Emily Ratajkowski shared a clip from the viral video on her Twitter handle and wrote, “I YIELD MY TIME”. One follower replied to her post saying, “Gotta admit the video is funny, but also a lot of the damage caused could be avoided if police would not engage the protesters and let them continue peacefully. But the dumb a**es have to draw their proverbial line in the sand. See what happens as a result.” While another added, “This is so savage. Speaking straight truth to power.” One Twitter user wrote, “Never did I think the sentence ‘suck my d**k and choke on it’ and ‘I yield my time’ would be so soothing. Juan Ramirez you are my everything in this moment.”
However, a few of them pointed out that it wasn’t Ramirez who said “I Yield my time” but Jeremy Frisch. One Twitter comment read, “If only the madam secretary would have had a bigger pause between saying Thank You and Juan Ramirez. Perhaps ppl wouldn’t have thought ‘I yield my time’ were Juan’s words when in actually it was Jeremy Frisch.” Another said, “That was definitely not Juan Ramirez. Listen to the beginning of the audio. The lady introduces Jeremy Frisch and then Juan Ramirez. She says Juan Ramirez at the end because it’s his turn up. Let’s make sure we pay respect to the right person and get that trending,” said another.
