Emerson Royal has really struggled for consistency since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Barcelona.
There have been brief moments of quality from the Brazilian, but overall he’s been a bit of a disappointment on English soil.
Emerson’s certainly tried his hardest to be a success at Spurs, as he’s spent around £800,000 to try and develop his game – which includes the purchase of his own private hyperbaric chamber.

One thing Emerson clearly needs to improve on moving forward is his shooting ability.
The 23-year-old has scored just one goal for Spurs since joining the club last summer, which isn’t the best return for a wing-back in Antonio Conte’s system.
And judging by Emerson’s attempt at a shot against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, he won’t be adding to his tally anytime soon.
The half-volleyed effort from the Brazil international in the first half was so awful and poorly directed that it actually went out of the Vitality Stadium.
No, we’re not joking and it didn’t help that it came when Spurs were 1-0 down to Kieffer Moore’s goal…
When we heard rumours that Emerson’s shot left the stadium, we still didn’t think it would be as bad as it was.
It’s the second moment to forget from the Spurs defender in the space of a few days after his gaffe in the 1-1 draw with Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday evening.
When Conte’s side were chasing the game in the 86th minute, Emerson decided to attempt a no-look pass into Bryan Gil’s path and instead of reaching its intended destination, the ball rolled out for a goal kick.

Surely Djed Spence deserve a chance over Emerson at some point, right?
