An emergency bushfire warning has been downgraded for Lake Coogee in Perth’s south, while another blaze north of the city has burned through a shed.

A “watch and act” warning is in place for an area bounded by Rockingham Road, Stock Road, Shallcross Street and Barrington Road in Lake Coogee.

The fire started near the intersection of Beeliar Drive and Stock Road.

Meanwhile, authorities were battling an out-of-control bushfire north of the city which has already burned through a large shed and a ute.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) has issued a “watch and act” alert for the fire, which is burning in parts of Neergabby, Woodridge and Wilbinga in the Shire of Gingin.

DFES says there is a possible threat to lives and homes and conditions are changing.

The watch and act warning is for people in the area bounded by Indian Ocean Drive, Croot Place across to Chitna Road, Military Road and Wabling Road.

The fire started near the intersection near Chitna Road in Neergabby and was reported at 11:40am.
