Ekin-Su and Nathalia had an explosive bust-up over pineapple on pizza – before Danica ditched Reece for Jamie in a surprise recoupling on the latest ‘Love Island’ episode.

The food row erupted when Davide found himself at the heart of a battle for his affections.

It came after new bombshell Nathalia made no secret she wanted to get her hands on the ‘Italian stallion’, currently paired with Ekin-Su.

The love rivals clashed on Friday night’s (22.07.22) episode over their differing attitudes towards pizza toppings and took part in a pancake cook off.

Nathalia said: “Italian pizzas are the best – not the ones with the pineapple.”

Ekin-Su said she and Davide like pineapple on their pizza, before the Italian businessman denied it was to his taste.

The row rolled on in the kitchen, with Ekin-Su asking Nathalia: “You alright? Have you got an issue with me?”

Nathalia replied: “No, I haven’t got an issue with you,” prompting Ekin-Sun to say: “Are you sure?.. because if feels like you’ve got an issue with me.”

Nathalia added: “If I had an issue with you, I’d let you know babe. Maybe you have an issue with yourself?”

Ekin-Su told her to “drop the attitude as things got more heated, adding: “I hope you’re happy, you got a little show of the night.”

They finally settled their dispute in a pancake making competition where Davide was chosen to judge the winner – after Nathalia branded her rival “Ekin-who..?”

Davide picked Ekin-Su as winner, but Gemma said in the Beach Hut: “As much as I’m team Ekin, I personally preferred Nathalia’s. She is never to know that but Nathalia’s were better by a lot.”

Viewers blasted Gemma’s comment “shady” as one couple is now at risk of being dumped on Sunday. (24.07.22)

‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
