They pray to Allah to give them a strong healthy body and mind and help them in resisting the urge to eat during the month-long fasting time that is known as Ramzan or Ramadan. This year, Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated on Friday, May 14 in India.This occasion is very significant for Muslims as they celebrate this time with great celebration. This time signifies the end of Ramadan which is the Islamic sacred month of fasting. This is observed by Muslims all across the world. Eid al-Fitr is also known as the ‘festival of breaking fast.’ The date of Eid ul Fitr is decided after the crescent moon is sighted. On this lovely occasion of Eid ul Fitr, people wear new clothes, prepare delicacies and do charity. They also gift others clothes, sweets and other items as a mark of love and unity. Many also visit their family and friends for festivities.
