Out of all of the brilliant things that Mikel Arteta has done as Arsenal manager, getting Eddie Nketiah to sign a five-year deal is among the most important.

The forward, 23, reminds me of Ian Wright. He creates chances through his sharpness around the penalty area, and though his two goals against Manchester United were straightforward finishes, they were created by a level of movement that most goalscorers do not have. His work rate is also superb and emulates another great striker of previous decades in Ian Rush. When Gabriel Jesus returns from his injury, the onus will be on him to dislodge Nketiah, rather than vice-versa.
