Echo trailer confirms delayed release date and teases Daredevil cameo
Daredevil #Daredevil
Echo has released its first official trailer, with the release date now confirmed to be pushed back.
The Disney+ series follows Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), a deaf former commander of the Tracksuit Mafia, who now goes by the name of Echo.
Following the events of Hawkeye, Maya returns to her hometown in Oklahoma, where “she must come to terms with her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace her family and community.”

The MCU show was originally due to be released later this month on November 29, but the new trailer confirmed that the release date was delayed, with all episodes now set to drop on January 10, 2024.
The brooding trailer shows Maya coming to terms with her past, which included witnessing brutal attacks from her adoptive uncle Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), the man responsible for the death of her father.
The clip also includes a cameo from Daredevil (Charlie Cox), with the hero wiping out a room of thugs. The appearance of Murdock shouldn’t come as a shock, however, with D’Onofrio confirming that the events of Echo would lead into Daredevil: Born Again.

Episodes of Echo will be directed by Catriona McKenzie and Sydney Freeland, and the latter recently spoke about the series in an interview with Collider, specifically how the show was indebted to Netflix’s Marvel output.
“I love the Netflix Daredevil – it’s great,” she said. “We adamantly wanted to show that these people in our show bleed [and] die – there are real consequences. It’s not the fate of the universe at stake because once you go that broad, you can lose sight a little bit.”
Echo streams on Disney+ and Hulu from January 10, 2024.
