EastEnders schoolboy Ricky Mitchell plays a surprising role at a tense family counselling session next week.
Everyone expects Ricky to stay quiet as his loved ones gather to discuss recent rows and betrayals, but it quickly becomes clear that he has other ideas.
Recent episodes have seen Denise Fox confess to her husband Jack Branning about how she cheated on him with Ravi Gulati.

Although Denise clarified that she cut ties with Ravi before ever spending the night with him, it wasn’t enough to pacify Jack as he openly questioned the future of their marriage.
In next week’s episodes, the fractured clan reach a crossroads as the possibility of family therapy is discussed.
While some family members believe this is exactly what they need to heal and get back on track, Jack isn’t keen on the idea.
Denise’s daughter Chelsea steps in, rebuking Jack for not being prepared to consider the proposal. Although Chelsea is nowhere near close to forgiving Denise herself, she wants the family to have a chance.

On the morning of the session, Jack’s daughter Amy mysteriously goes AWOL. Viewers have seen Amy become particularly affected by the affair drama in recent days.
Jack and Denise are worried, but Chelsea tracks down Amy and finds her having a panic attack. Amy explains that she took her ‘mum’ necklace to be fixed and got held up.
Chelsea and Amy rush off to join the rest of the family at the therapist’s office.
A full and frank conversation begins, with Denise feeling under attack as everyone shares their grievances over her behaviour.

Jack naturally still feels betrayed after Denise cheated on him. Meanwhile, Chelsea also feels badly let down as she had her own romantic connection with Ravi and was oblivious to what was going on.
