Eagles offered fans a free Wendy’s Frosty during Giants blowout. It’s not going well
Eagles #Eagles
It felt like the Philadelphia Eagles needed a “get right” game Sunday as they stumbled their way into the playoffs.
Felt like that. Won’t happen.
In fact, as the New York Giants dismantled the Eagles in the first half — they beat up Jalen Hurts, shut down the offense and marched up and down the field on their way to a 24-0 lead at the break — it started to feel a little bit like the clock is ticking on this once promising season for the Birds.
Even if they come back and win, this isn’t good. They are in the playoffs. They won’t stay very long playing like this.
So, it should not be a surprise to learn that fans are not happy over on social media, and they are letting the team know about it.
“The (Eagles) have quit on the coaching staff!” one person wrote.
Not even a free Wendy’s Frosty can fix this. We know because the team posted on X, formerly Twitter, that fans had won a free small Frosty because they held the Giants out of the end zone in the first quarter, and it didn’t help at all.
“What do we get when the Eagles score 0 pts?” someone responded.
“WTH … that’s what you’re posting?” another responded. “The Giants have one of the worst records in the league.”
“Bro, this is the LEAST of yall worries!” another wrote. “24-0 and yall worried about a damn frosty?!”
“I’m embarrassed to be a fan right now!” another wrote. “Absolute disgrace of a team and coaching staff!!!”
“You should be embarrassed to post anything,” another wrote. “You think us fans deserve this?”
“No one wants the damn frosty,” another wrote. “We want a competent football team!!”
Most of us common folks like a good Frosty.
Eagles fans aren’t like the rest of the world, though, and things are not going well for the team on X are on the field right now.
