Eagles fans say ‘I do’ with tailgate wedding
Eagles #Eagles
Here comes the bride, all dressed in Eagles green and white….
Philadelphia fans Brooke and Rob Rittner said “I do’ with a tailgate wedding prior to Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Eagles social media team posted video of the happy nuptials to their Instagram page with the caption: “A wedding tailgate! THAT’s a Philly thing. Congratulations Brooke & Rob 💍🦅”
A flower girl tossed Slim Jims instead of petals as Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” played. The bride walked down the aisle carrying a green bouquet in a beautiful, white gown trimmed in green foil details. Her Eagles’ baseball cap attached to a green and white veil while an Eagles jersey draped over her shoulders. The groom sported a Fletcher Cox jersey with a visor and sunglasses.
When the officiant, wearing a throwback Brian Dawkins jersey, asked Brooke if she takes Rob to be her lawfully wedded husband, she enthusiastically yelled to the crowd: “Hell yeah!”
“E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles! chants rang out after the couple sealed their vows with a kiss.
Their anniversary date should be easy to remember, considering it’s also Eagles center Jason Kelce’s birthday, who turned 36 on Sunday. A banner at the ceremony celebrated both milestones, reading: “Happy Birthday, Jason Kelce! Happy Wedding Day, Brooke & Rob! Rittner’s tailgate wedding 11.05.23.”
