Philadelphia elevated Covey from its practice squad to the 53-man roster ahead of its game versus Minnesota on Thursday.
After suiting up and playing exclusively on special teams in Week 1, Covey will once again be available for the Eagles in Week 2. He is a good candidate to return punts, but it’s not terribly likely he will see many offensive snaps unless Philadelphia jumps out to an insurmountable lead early.
