The free-falling Philadelphia Eagles look to gather themselves for a playoff run, beginning with a Monday night matchup as the No. 5 seed against the No. 4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wild Card Round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs. The contest is slated for an 8:15 p.m. ET start from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

The Eagles-Buccaneers NFC Wild Card matchup will be carried live on ABC, ESPN and ESPN Deportes with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman calling the action. The game can also be accessed via live streams through FuboTV (free trial), as well as DirecTV Stream (free trial) and SlingTV (low intro rate).

The alternate “ManningCast” with Eli and Peyton Manning and a string of special guests will air on ESPN2, again with access via FuboTV, DirecTV Stream, and SlingTV. As another option, the Philly vs. Tampa NFC Wild Card matchup will also stream live on ESPN+, which costs $10.99 per month and comes with opportunities to discount annual subscriptions and bundle with other services.

Of all the ways the Eagles could have backed into the NFC playoffs, their late-season hatchet job had to have been the most disastrous route possible. The reigning NFC champions have at times looked baffled offensively, gotten gashed through the air on defense, and inexplicably choked away late leads in plummeting from a 10-1 start with losses in five of their final six games. At their best, the Eagles have a dominant duo in wideouts A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, a dual-threat weapon in quarterback Jalen Hurts, and stout line play on both sides. Those strengths haven’t shown in nearly two months, which has coach Nick Sirianni and his staff ready to feel fans’ wrath with an early playoff exit.

On the other side, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers never threw in the towel over a bumpy ride of a 2024 season that ended with them holding the best record (9-8) in the NFC South. The division champion label meant the Bucs had earned the right to host an NFC Wild Card game, even if that meant a talented Eagles team that goes into the night as 3-point betting favorites. Tampa Bay scratched and clawed on both sides of the ball with a defense that gave up the 11th-most yards (344.2 ypg) but only the seventh-fewest points (19.1) in the NFL and an offense behind cast-aside quarterback Baker Mayfield that did its job in keeping the team in games and finding ways to win them.

The Eagles and Buccaneers are set for an 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 (”Manningcast”) and ESPN Deportes. The game can also be accessed via live streams available through FuboTV (free trial), as well as DirecTV Stream (free trial) and SlingTV (as low as $20 the first month).

The Philly vs. Tampa NFC Wild Card matchup will also stream live on ESPN+, which costs $10.99 per month and comes with discount opportunities.
