UPDATE: Lane Johnson was ruled out with an ankle injury after halftime, per the Eagles.

Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson suffered an ankle injury and went to the locker room in the first quarter against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Philadelphia announced he is questionable to return on Sunday. Eagles backup offensive tackle/guard Jack Driscoll has replaced the three-time All-Pro selection. Driscoll has started 16 games since being drafted in 2020, including two at right tackle last year. Although he has experience, it will be difficult to replace Johnson, who is considered one of the best players at his position.

The Eagles are also without offensive guard Cam Jurgens, who was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury before Week 5. Sua Opeta is starting in his place again.
Johnson underwent season-ending ankle surgery in 2020 and has dealt with other injuries in his career.
The Jets have a strong defensive line led by Quinnen Williams and a few other pass rushers. Without Johnson available, the Eagles could struggle protecting quarterback Jalen Hurts throughout the duration of the game. Philadelphia took a 7-0 lead when Hurts rushed for a three-yard touchdown with three minutes, eight seconds remaining in the first quarter.
