Dua for new Month(October)

ALBAWABA As the autumn leaves begin to fall and the world transitions into a new season, Muslims around the world take a moment to reflect, pray, and seek blessings as they welcome the start of a new month. 

Among the essential practices in Islam is making supplications or duas to seek guidance, protection, and blessings from Allah (God). 

Although there isn’t a specific dua mentioned in the Quran or Hadith for the beginning of a new month, Muslims often offer their own heartfelt prayers with sincerity and devotion.

Dua, often referred to as a prayer or supplication, is a deeply cherished aspect of Islamic faith. It is the means through which Muslims connect with Allah, expressing their hopes, fears, gratitude, and desires.

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا رَأَى الْهِلَالَ قَالَ : ” اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ، وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ، وَالتَّوْفِيقِ لِمَا يُحِبُّ رَبُّنَا وَيَرْضَى، رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكَ اللَّهُ “. رواه الترمذي والدارمي.

Allah is the Most Great. O Allah, bring us the new moon with security and Faith, with peace and in Islam, and in harmony with what our Lord loves and what pleases Him. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah. [Tirmidhi and Darimi]

“O Allah, bless us in the month of October and make it a blessed and happy month. O Allah, from Your grace and generosity, bestow upon us health and happiness in this month. Make it a month of goodness and blessings for us and the Muslim Ummah. Make us among the righteous who obey You and strive in Your path. O Allah, make this month a beginning of goodness in our lives, our deeds, and our families. Amen.

اللهم إني أعوذ بك من البخل، وأعوذ بك من الجبن، وأعوذ بك من أن أُرد إلى أرذل العُمر، وأعوذ بك من فتنة الدنيا وعذاب القبر .

Oh Allah, I seek Your Protection from miserliness I seek Your Protection from cowardice, and I seek Your Protection from being returned to feeble old age. I seek Your Protection from the trials/troubles of this world and from the torment of the grave

اللهم أنت ربي لا إله إلا أنت، خلقتني وأنا عبدك وأنا على عهدك ووعدك ما استطعت، أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت، أبوء لك بنعمتك على وأبوء بذنبى فاغفر لي فإنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت.

Oh Allah!, You are my Lord, there is No deity but You. You Created me and I am Your servant and I am trying my best to keep my Oath (of faith) to You and to seek to live in the hope of Your Promise. I seek Refuge in You from my greatest evil deeds. I acknowledge Your Blessings upon me and my sins. So forgive me, for none but You can forgive sins
