Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is fine after a video surfaced showing a scary lightning strike during a commercial shoot. An NFL official confirms to WDSU that Drew Brees is fine and that the video appears to be a marketing stunt. Brees tweeted earlier this week that he was excited for a secret project. A video surfaced showing Brees getting a microphone placed on him just before a massive lightning bolt strikes and the camera falls out of focus. Front Office Sports tweeted that the video was fake and part of a campaign by PointsBet, which Brees is an ambassador for. In October, PointsBet launched its “Lightning Bets,” which is a new betting feature, according to Front Office Sports.
