No active player in the NBA is prouder of LeBron James breaking the all-time scoring record than most likely Draymond Green. Green previously mentioned that he’d be at the game LeBron broke the scoring record, but there was no footage of him there. Regardless, he still tweeted multiple times throughout the game.

“This WILD,” Green said in his first tweet. “Unreal. Actually doing this like THE 🐐should!

30 minutes later, Green fired off another tweet.

“Congrats my brother @KingJames 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 not hearing anything they sayin,” Green said. “#38388.”

While it was a tremendous moment for LeBron James, it was also a fortunate one for Warriors fans. Mainly because the Los Angeles Lakers lost the game and created more separation in the standings for the Golden State Warriors. Tuesday night’s loss for the Lakers pushes them 3.5 games behind the Warriors. The Golden State Warriors need every win they can get, and need every team in the western conference to lose so that they can hopefully avoid the play-in tournament.

LeBron James breaking the all-time scoring record is a momentous accomplishment that may never happen again. While there’s a chance a young player like Luka Doncic could do it, the odds of Luka playing for 20 years is very slim. It’s going to take a combination of entering the NBA at a young age, averaging at least 25 points every season, and playing for a little over 20 seasons. While it’s much easier to score in the modern NBA, it’s incredibly hard to be that consistent for that long. Kudos to LeBron James.
