NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant has discussed some of the reasons why the COVID-19 numbers are “still going up” in New South Wales.

“The numbers are going up because we have a number of people infectious in the community,” Dr Chant said during a media conference on Wednesday.

“The numbers are going up because we’re still having mixing with households”.

“We’re still having a small number of people that are not isolating effectively and are not isolating after a positive test.

“These are some of the drivers for it.”
