Doyle poised for Wolves loan move

Wolves have agreed to sign Manchester City’s England Under-21 international Tommy Doyle on loan, with the option of a £4.3m transfer that would include a huge sell-on.
It is a separate deal to the one that is set to see Matheus Nunes move to City from Molineux, and comes after City refused to meet Wolves initial £60m-plus valuation for the Portugal international.
Doyle, 21, was part of the England squad that won the European Under-21 Championship in July.
He made 33 league appearances on loan at Sheffield United last season as the Blades were promoted from the Championship, while the most recent of his seven appearances for Manchester City came in February 2021.
