Download Festival just announced the line-up for their 20th event, Download 2023, which is taking place at Donington Park from June 8-11, 2023. For the first time ever, the occasion is going to be four days long, with the incredible metal gods Metallica claiming the first and third nights of the celebration, while Slipknot and Bring Me The Horizon are claiming the other two. Tickets have just dropped – but only for some fans.

Where can you buy Download Festival 2023 tickets?

Download Festival 2023 tickets are on presale now, but only for Barclaycard customers.

The bank’s users can buy presale tickets from now until 9pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

These customers can also claim 10 percent off of the total ticket price when they pay with their Barclaycard. But act fast, as there are three more presales taking place throughout this week.

Official Download Festival presales begin tomorrow, Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 9pm.

Presale codes for these tickets will likely come through email for previous customers of Download Festival tickets.

Major ticket retailers – such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, etc – will run their own presale for Download Festival 2023 on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 9pm.

These retailers usually release presale codes through their email subscription service, as well.

Finally, the general onsale tickets for Download Festival 2023 will hit the internet on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 10am.

This will be the final batch of tickets being released by the iconic festival, so hopeful attendees must act fast if they haven’t already secured a spot at the event by this point.

Metallica are set to headline both Thursday and Saturday nights and will mark the occasions by playing two entirely different sets with no repeated songs.

The band said: “We are next-level honoured to once again come back and partake in the Download shenanigans on the hallowed grounds of Castle Donington, which has an unparalleled place in rock history. On top of that, to be able to share our double show format with two completely unique sets with no repeat songs for the first time ever in the U.K is way f****n’ cool. Bring it on!!”

Bring Me The Horizon are taking on Friday night. Their frontman, Oli Sykes, said: “Download Festival was one of the first festivals I ever attended as a punter. It was our first amazing festival experience to play as a band, and now the fact that we are headlining such a prestigious event blows my mind. We can’t wait to bring a whole new sound and show for the Download audience.”

Slipknot will bring the event o an end on Sunday night. The band’s Sid Wilson said: “Download Festival! So many great memories, one of the most amazing crowds to play in front of, always an honour to share the bill with so many amazing bands, and of course, I’ll never miss the opportunity to play my homeland.”

These three enormous bands are being joined by some fantastic artists, including Architects, Placebo, Stray From The Path, Pendulum and Parkway Drive, to name just a few.
