Dover Gridlocked as Port Bosses Declare ‘Critical Incident’
Dover #Dover
The Port of Dover declared a critical incident as long queues of motorists backed up into the coastal town on Friday, July 22, Kent Online reported.
In a statement, the Port of Dover blamed the French border authority’s resources at the terminal early on Friday morning saying it was “woefully inadequate to meet our predicted demand.”
Queues to the ferry terminal reached up to five hours, with travellers saying they had barely moved in that time as they attempted to approach the port, according to The BBC.
