Dallas Cowboys kicker Brett Maher had a rough game Monday night, missing his first four PATs before finally knocking one through in their 31-14 NFC wild-card victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“By bringing in more kickers, you only put more stress on him,” the NFL and Indianapolis Colts career leading scorer said Tuesday on “Up and Adams” on FanDuel TV.

Whatever Dallas does, it should be decisive: Move on or stick with him.

“If it’s a confidence thing for him, or for the team, they may decide to make a move,” Vinatieri said. “… As a kicker, you want to have an opportunity next week right away, and get that monkey off your back.

“If it’s not in the playoffs, I think you’ve got a longer leash.”

Maher made 50-of-53 PATs and 29-of-32 field goals this season, the most accurate in his four NFL seasons.
