Dolly Parton rocks halftime as Dallas cowboy cheerleader

Country music legend Dolly Parton, during her halftime performance at the Cowboys vs. Commanders football game, took the stage in a surprising outfit.

Sporting a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader costume, Parton, 77, received nothing but widespread praise from fans and viewers across the stadium — and nation.

Complete with the iconic white shorts, cropped vest adorned with blue stars and a sheer, bedazzled mesh bodysuit, the singer showcased the iconic blue and white look as well as her ageless body, something that those watching at home and at the game were quick to notice.

CBS broadcaster and former Cowboys QB Tony Romo gushed about Parton’s performance, telling Jim Nantz, “She looks amazing. She’s wonderful.”

“Who doesn’t like Dolly Parton?” he asked.

Parton performed a collection of her most celebrated songs, including “Jolene” and “9 to 5,” while also promoting her latest album “Rockstar” that was released earlier this month. The 30-track effort is the singer’s first rock album and boasts appearances from musical legends such as Beatle’s stars Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, and Elton John.

The halftime show also featured Parton’s rendition of several rock classics, with a cheerleader troupe dancing below the star as she covered Queen’s “We are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You.”

The Dallas Cowboys host an NFL game every Thanksgiving as part of their league tradition.

The Red Kettle Kickoff show was put on in partnership with the Salvation Army.

“I am so proud to have kicked off the giving season with my Red Kettle Kickoff performance!” Parton wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, before the show. “Every dollar you give to @SalvationArmyUS helps your neighbors in need during the holidays and all year long.”
