Doherty joins Atletico Madrid after Spurs terminate contract

Tottenham have terminated Matt Doherty’s contract by mutual consent to allow him to join Atletico Madrid.
The right-back signed for Spurs from Wolves in August 2020, where he scored three goals in 71 appearances.
The 31-year-old joins Diego Simeone’s side, who currently sit fourth in La Liga, until the end of the season.
