Dish dropped ESPN thanks to a contract disagreement at the worst possible time for college football fans everywhere.
For college football fans with Dish, we have bad news. Well, they have bad news. Please don’t hurt the messenger, I have a family!
Dish dropped ESPN due to a contract dispute, and advised viewers to call Disney to dial up the pressure. What they failed to realize is that we college football fans are not rational. Rather than calling Disney, most of us are more likely to march upon their offices with pitchforks. Perhaps that’s what we’ve been encouraged to do.
Head to your local bar, it’s college football Saturday, and football must be watched at all costs!
How to watch ESPN without cable
Without a cable package, an easy way to watch ESPN would be to stream it via Fubo. The worldwide leader is readily available on streaming services such as Fubo, and a free trial should be available.
How to watch ESPN on Youtube TV
YouTube TV is available at this link, and should carry channels such as ESPN. The Worldwide Leader is showing primetime matchups such as Clemson vs North Carolina State on Saturday, which is also where college gameday is being hosted.
What isn’t ESPN on Dish?
Disney and Dish failed to reach a new agreement, which would have renewed their contract and allowed the cable provider to show channels such as ESPN, ABC and even National Geographic. For now, those channels are not available on Dish, and college football fans aren’t happy.
There were many more where that came from. If the two sides can’t reach an agreement on Saturday, it’s safe to suggest there will be consequences, one way or another.
