Didier Drogba’s son paid tribute to his father after he scored his first professional goal for Italian side Caratese.

Isaac has watched his father enjoy a trophy-laden career which peaked with a Champions League victory in 2012.

The forward, who started his youth career on Chelsea’s book, is now playing for the Serie D outfit and scored in their clash against Caronnese.

His father scored 297 times throughout his career and Isaac reeled away in celebration with both arms flailing, similar to how a certain Chelsea legend used to celebrate goals in west London.

His goal secured a 1-0 win for his side and he will hope there are many more to come.

Drogba Snr finished his playing career in 2018 at the Phoenix Rising having also enjoyed time at Montreal Impact.

The Ivorian made his name at Chelsea, whom he joined in 2004 from Marseille. Drogba continued to be prolific under a string of different managers at Stamford Bridge.

His best single-season haul was 37 as the Blues won the double in 2009/10.

It helped him to win his second golden Boot award having also picked up the gong in 2007.

He spent nine years at Chelsea, albeit across two spells, and won the league on four occasions.

Drogba also won four FA Cups – scoring in each final as he became synonymous with the big occasion.

He was the first African to score 100 Premier League goals, but he was never able to guide the Ivory Coast to continental glory.

The now 43-year-old also holds a host of other records at Stamford Bridge which cements his place as a club legend.

They include having more Premier League hat-tricks than anyone and also being their oldest scorer.
