Did Eagles fan Meek Mill nearly get his butt kicked at Tank Davis fight?
Tank #Tank
This is one time Jeffrey Lurie wouldn’t have been able to bail out Meek Mill.
The Eagles owner, who is Mill’s buddy, wasn’t around on Saturday night — his team has a big game on Sunday — when the Philadelphia rapper got into a ringside beef with boxers Garry Russell Jr. and brothers, Antonio and Gary Antuannae. This would not have gone well for Mill: Russell Jr. is 31-2 with 18 knockouts; Antonio is 19-1-1; and Gary Antuanne is 16-0 with 16 knockouts.
So, what happened? It seems there was an argument over Mill rooting too hard for his guy, Gervonta “Tank” Davis, or too hard against Davis’ opponent, Hector Luis Garcia. There was a brief pause in the bout while Mill was escorted out of the Capital One Arena in Washington.
“Congratulations tankkk!!!” Mill later tweeted. “I almost fought a boxer telling him this fight not going 12 rounds. I missed the big bomb!!!”
In a follow up tweet Mill wrote that he would “never let no petty [stuff] escalate” … “I just walked away … I came to support tank and boots!!!!!!. Good wins.”
Fans had no problem picking the winner in a possible bout between Mill vs. the Russells.
“U was bouta get knocked out,” one fan responded to Mill.
“Would’ve saw real dreams and nightmares messing with them boxers,” another person responded.
“that fight would’ve ended real quick for you,” tweeted another.
One fan tweeted an unflattering workout video of Mill throwing punches.
By the way, Davis won the fight on a TKO to improve to 28-0 with 26 knockouts.
