Omarion appeared on a recent episode of The Jason Lee Show where he spoke on a few revelations from his past, including how he was almost became “a thing” with Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.
Soon after the sound bite went viral on Wednesday (Nov. 8), Breezy shared a subliminal post to his Instagram Stories, where he called an unnamed individual “lame” and claimed that “ni**as be reaching.”
“MANNNN… IF YOU DON’T GET YO LAME A** ON SOMEWHERE,” Brown wrote in all-caps. “NI**AS BE REACHING FOR THE STARZ.”
Omarion hasn’t responded to the unspecified post, staying true to his “unbothered” stance. The former B2K member spoke about Tran during his sit-down with Lee where the media personality recalled a time that he tried to hook O up with the model and actress.
“One of the girls I tried to hook you up with, a lot of people don’t know, is Karrueche, do you remember that?” Lee inquired as Omarion recalled the moment. “Me, Chris Brown and Omarion — y’all were brothers. One night, they say, ‘Bring all these girls.’ So I brought all these girls, and one of the girls was Karrueche. Do you remember that night? Y’all were kind of feeling each other.”
“Yeah, that’s true. That’s true,” Omarion smoothly interjected. “I thought y’all were gonna be a thing and then she was on Media Take Out with Chris,” Lee added as O interjected again with “Right!”
Lee continued, “And you never said anything! What?! If I was you I would’ve! … ”
“Come on now! You got to be unbothered,” the 38-year-old playfully said, nodding to the title of his 2022 memoir Unbothered: The Power of Choosing Joy by Omarion.
Although Omarion didn’t find love with Tran, he did end up dating and fathering two children with reality TV star and actress Apryl Jones. The two allegedly started dating in 2011 before having their first child in 2014, and separating in 2016 after their second.
While visited Sway in the Morning with Sway Calloway back in March, O dished on co-parenting with Jones and spoke on their split. He also commented on the former Love & Hip-Hop star‘s relationship with actor Taye Diggs.
Around the 12-minute mark of the interview, the singer and author said, “It’s always difficult when you share something like children together with a person, you know what I’m saying? So yeah, I think that for me and my journey, especially in the relationship field, I realized a lot about my style and what I needed as far as support for my life.”
“And because we were so very young, and saw that differently — and not to generalize women — but you know sometimes women think that love stories are supposed to have this happy ending,” he added. “It’s like, ‘Oh we vibing and we, you know, get married and then we have a family,’ but it’s really not like that. That wasn’t my experience.”
When speaking about having a blended family— now that Jones dates Diggs, who also has children of his own—the 38-year-old mentioned that he did have a chance to meet the Hollywood star briefly.
“I just met him for the first time and he seems like a cool dude,” he shared. “He has kids of his own and he’s an older man so I only expect good things from him.”
As for Brown, he’s in full album mode as his 11th studio album 11:11 drops tonight (Nov. 9) at 11 p.m. ET. The 22-track double-album features Future, Davido, Fridayy, Victoria Monét, Byron Messia and more.
