Devin McCourty knows what ‘makes Jets fans sick’ about Darrelle Revis

Revis #Revis

Devin McCourty wasted no time taking a jab at Darrelle Revis and Jets fans in his NBC Sports “Football Night In America” debut on Thursday night for the Hall of Fame Game between the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets.

Revis spent his first six seasons with the Jets (2007-12) before reuniting with New York for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. He has one Super Bowl ring to his name, but it came during his lone season with the Jets’ rival.

And McCourty won’t let him forget it.

“And I know it makes Jets fans sick that you had to come to New England to get that Super Bowl,” McCourty joked to Revis prior to the HOF Game kickoff. “And that’s what it’s all about.”

Rodney Harrison, a two-time Super Bowl champion with New England, was alongside Revis and McCourty and he couldn’t help but show off the Super Bowl ring he was wearing.

“You had to come to New England to get this!” Harrison quipped.

Revis responded by saying he “loved playing” with McCourty and that he was “one of the best safeties I’ve ever played with.”

“We had a great time and great chemsitry. … Yeah, I’m happy to be part of Super Bowl 49,” Revis said.

Revis and McCourty were teammates on the Patriots during their Super Bowl XLIX win over the Seattle Seahawks. After the victory parade to celebrate the championship, Revis signed with the Jets to reunite with the team that drafted him.

Revis officially retired in 2018 and even though he never won a Super Bowl with the Jets, he still has a ring to go with his Hall of Fame career.

As for McCourty? He’ll be calling some NFL games this season after retiring in March, and Thursday probably wasn’t the last time he’ll him crack a joke.
