Mackenzie Blackwood is injured again.
In his pregame press conference on Tuesday, Devils coach Lindy Ruff said Blackwood “tweaked something” in practice and left early to speak with trainers. It’s unclear what he tweaked or how serious it is, but the club recalled goaltender Akira Schmid from Utica (AHL), so Blackwood could miss some time.
