Wilmington resident Nah’Shon “Bizzy Bones” Hyland has been traded by the NBA’s Denver Nuggets to the Los Angeles Clippers, according to media reports Thursday afternoon.
The 6-foot-2 second-year guard is averaging 12.1 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game while shooting 37.8 percent on 3-pointers for the Nuggets, whose 38-17 record is the best in Western Conference. But Hyland had not played in Denver’s last four games.
The Clippers (31-27) are giving up two second-round draft picks, the Denver Post reported, to acquire Hyland, whom Denver chose in the first round, 26th overall, in the 2022 NBA draft.

Hyland attended a ceremony during which his St. Georges uniform number was retired two weeks ago before the Nuggets played in Philadelphia.
Hyland scored a school record 1,857 career points at St. Georges and was Delaware Player of the Year as a senior in 2019, when he was first-team All-State for the second time. He then starred at VCU, where he was A-10 Player of the Year in 2021.
