Deion Sanders is furious Nick Saban accused him of paying Travis Hunter $1 million to play for Jackson State

Oh boy, we’ve got some serious college football drama to dig into.

And it may carry into Thursday even more.

Legendary Alabama coach Nick Saban, while speaking in an event in Birmingham, went into a lengthy speech about Name, Image and Likeness deals that college players are now getting.

It was in that speech that he said the problem is that there coaches who he said were using NIL to their advantage, including — he says — alumni funneling collective cash that’s distributed to all players.

As part of that speech? He called out Jackson State’s Deion Sanders, who’s not happy about it:

He specifically called out Texas A&M for “[buying] every player on their team.”

And then? This:

“Jackson State paid a guy a million dollars last year that was a really good Division I player to come to the school. And they bragged about it. Nobody did anything about it.”

He denied it in December of 2021:

Coach Prime is MAD:

We’ll see what he has to say soon enough.
