Whether it be through his pondering lyrics or even lengthy heartfelt letters dedicated to ARMY, Joonie has always been a source of comfort for the millions and millions strong fandom. That’s one of the countless reasons why ARMY absolutely adores the Bangtan leader and will continue to do so.

Today’s heartwarming letter in our Dear Oppa series has been penned by Sampoorna Sen from India to RM. Read her letter below:

Dearest Namjoon,I remember the month when Love Yourself: Answer album had released in 2018 and I was streaming the songs back to back. The whole album was a masterpiece! (Still one of my faves till this day) , but your solo Trivia:Love….that hit me hard…..in a very good way. When the soft piano started playing , I was extremely excited…..a soft rap from the Kim Namjoon? Sign me up! …..but what you offered was more than my expectations. The way you treated the word love and the feelings of a person who has started feeling an overwhelming emotion towards a person , towards the world, how they dare to challenge all the JKLMNPQRST to bring the I to the U. The way you personified love as a person…the way you showed that love is a good feeling towards all, a feeling of warmth and comfort….a feeling of belonging to this word

Whenever you come post I always carefully read your letters. Your witty brain sir I must say is inspirational. But what is it that I especially like about Kim Namjoon ? It is how real he is…he doesn’t pretend….his words are real….his emotions are real….bare… lying there infront of you open. Telling you that I am a being just like you and I hear you…I feel you.  That is why Kim Namjoon…you are the first person I resort to for a little warmth….a little inspiration.

You are an exceptional writer but more so an exceptional human being. Your voice has the healing effect of a loving friend….a comforting pat on the shoulder…..a tight hug from a loved one. That’s why Kim Namjoon, I cherish all of your wordplay in songs. That’s why Kim Namjoon, I cherish all my moments with Bangtan Sonyeondan’s leader. That’s why Kim Namjoon, I will always cherish you.
