New York Giants tight end Darren Waller was only targeted three times by quarterback Daniel Jones during their Monday Night Football loss to the Seattle Seahawks at MetLife Stadium.

Waller, 31, spoke to the media after the game, while standing next to his locker room, and expressed his confusion with the team’s lack of offensive production. He didn’t throw anybody under the bus, but it’s clear the team is not using him properly.

Daniel Jones’ blank stare after 40-0 loss to Cowboys: “It wasn’t our best game”@SNYGiants

“I don’t ever take the field expecting to put a performance like that on display on any team that I’ve ever been on,” Waller said. “I approach the field with the mindset of trying to go out there and dominate. … Offense is just not good enough in all facets. I don’t even have anything to really say. It’s just not good enough.”

When asked why the offense is struggling to get going, Waller said he really does not know, and admitted to being speechless.

“I don’t know. I really don’t. I see the talent, I see the guys that we got,” Waller said. “I see the type of vision we were able to have coming from the spring. The excitement we had on offense. I just don’t know. I ain’t got a lot of words right now. I’m sorry.”

Waller caught all three of his targets for 32 receiving yards, but only one came in the first half while New York still had a chance.

The other two receptions were during garbage time as Jones looked to lead another spectacular comeback like the one against the Arizona Cardinals.

Giants running back Saquon Barkley suffered an ankle sprain in that comeback versus Arizona and has yet to return after two weeks. He wll likely return Sunday on the road against the Miami Dolphins.

The locker room is seemingly falling apart in New York, starting with head coach Brian Daboll, who looks sick of Jones.
