Daniel Khalife sighting in Chiswick confirmed by police as terror suspect hunt continues
Chiswick #Chiswick
Police searching for escaped terror suspect Daniel Khalife have confirmed sightings in the Chiswick area overnight. Officers are now focusing their efforts in and around the area after intelligence-led activity led to confirmed sightings and calls from members of the public.
A heavy police presence remains in the area, with officers planning to carry out further intensive search activity there through the day. It is believed Khalife is now wearing a black baseball cap, a black t-shirt and dark-coloured bottoms. He is also thought to be carrying a small bag or case.
An update from the Metropolitan Police said: “We urge members of the public in that area to remain vigilant and call 999 immediately should they see Khalife, or if they have any information that could assist the search. Whilst we advise members of the public not to approach Khalife if they see him, we still assess that he does not pose a threat to the wider public.

“A further update will be provided in due course.”
It comes after Khalife was urged to “give himself up” by a family member who spoke to The Times. The close relative told the newspaper: “If I could talk to him, I would tell him to end this and give himself up, even though I understand he is afraid.”
Police are offering a £20,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the former soldier, who was awaiting trial after allegedly planting a fake bomb at an RAF base and gathering information that might be useful to terrorists or enemies of the UK.
Khalife escaped from HMP Wandsworth on Wednesday morning in his cook’s uniform, leaving the prison kitchen and strapping himself to the bottom of a delivery lorry.
