Wales star Daniel James says he’s happy to be back at Leeds United after his season spent away from the club.
Former Whites boss Jesse Marsch took the decision to loan out the winger last summer, with James heading to Fulham for the 2022-23 campaign.
The Elland Road club endured a torrid season, parting company with Marsch and ultimately suffering Premier League relegation under Sam Allardyce.

James’ stay at Craven Cottage was more successful as the Cottagers defied expectations under Marco Silva, although James himself would have no doubt liked to have seen more game-time.
He’s now back with his parent club and looking forward to the season ahead under new boss Daniel Farke, who is known to be a fan of the 25-year-old, having already tried to sign him while he was Norwich City manager.
James has lifted the lid on how things are developing with a new man at the helm and delivered a message to supporters that he is delighted to be back in a Leeds shirt.
James told LUTV: “All in all, the last two or three weeks has been great. The boys have really drilled into what the boss wants and we’re starting to show what he wants on the pitch.
“The mood’s great, we’ve got a great group here, and we’re all disappointed to go down last year but everyone’s come back in raring to go.
“I’m just happy to be back, I love the place, I’m really looking forward to being back at Elland Road, going into it full throttle and helping the team.”
Leeds face Cardiff City at Elland Road on the first day of the season.
