Buffalo Bills cornerback Dane Jackson has suffered a head and neck injury and has been taken off the field on a stretcher and ambulance against the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football.

Jackson took a brutal friendly fire hit by a teammate, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.

Jackson was injured tackling Treylon Burks after a 12-yard gain in the final minute of the first half. Edmunds came flying in to help with the tackle and lowered a shoulder into Jackson’s helmet.

Jackson was wrapping up Burks and lying on his stomach when his head snapped back. He stayed down on his back before medical personnel arrived. An ambulance and stretcher came onto the field for Jackson.

The Bills are taking Jackson to Erie County Medical Center for a CT scan and X-rays. He has full movement in his arms and legs.

Jackson was a seventh-round draft pick by the Bills in the 2020 NFL Draft. He started his rookie season on the practice squad before being elevated for five games and finishing with an interception and fumble recovery. Jackson played in all 17 games last year with 41 total tackles and was the primary replacement after star cornerback Tre’Davious White suffered a season-ending knee injury. Jackson was a starter in 2022 and intercepted Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in the season opener.
