Damian Lillard was a force yet again down the stretch of Game 1 and the Lakers are in trouble

Stop me if you’ve heard this before recently but Damian Lillard was brilliant down the stretch in a game in the bubble in Orlando and he helped lead the Trail Blazers to another big win.

And now LeBron James and Los Angeles Lakers know firsthand the type of trouble they’re in against a No. 8 seed that is pretty far from an No. 8 seed.

Lillard finished with a game-high 34, including three long 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, as Portland went on a late run to win Game 1, 100-93.

The Lakers were on their heels from the get-go, as many thought they would be. But then suddenly with six minutes left in the fourth LA had a six-point lead and seemed to be in control.

But that’s when Lillard and the rest of Blazers got hot from long range and ran away with Game 1.

The Blazers took the lead for good when Lillard casually hit this 36-footer:

That came after Lillard sunk this long one to tie things up:

It’s only one game in the series, but it sure feels like the Lakers are going to have their hands full moving forward.
