Dallas Stars fans with DirecTV miss out on Joe Pavelski’s third goal vs. Kraken

Things were moving quickly in the second-round playoff series opener between the Dallas Stars and the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday night.
After a flurry of first-period goals saw the Kraken take a 4-2 lead, Stars forward Joe Pavelski completed his hat trick to breathe momentum into Dallas’ late comeback attempt. While Pavelski and the rest of the crowd at American Airlines Center celebrated the occasion, some of the viewers at home reported some issues with their broadcast.
DirecTV users took to Twitter to report freezes of their ESPN broadcasts that started about 90 seconds before Pavelski’s third goal. Here are some of the reactions:

My favorite hockey player of all time just scored a hat trick in the playoffs after being out for a few games… apparently. I wouldn’t know, since @espn on @DIRECTV @DIRECTVhelp is completely frozen, so I totally missed the 3rd and arguably best goal pic.twitter.com/8dLnSWq7fi

I just had to power off my DirecTV box and restart it. It was stuck on that and I didn’t even see the Pavelski goal
