Dallas Cowboys’ Jerry Jones appears to have no idea who Tampa Bay star is before playoff game

Chris Godwin has proven he is one of the NFL’s best receivers since entering the league out of Penn State, but heading into his Tampa Bay Buccaneers playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys Monday night, it seems like not everyone has gotten the memo.
Specifically, it sure as heck sounded like Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn’t have a clue who Godwin was during a recent interview. Because, when asked about accounting for Godwin, well … just check out what Jerry had to say.
“We’ve got to get him out there,” Jones said. “Him and others. At the right time. When you’ve got Brady at quarterback, we’ve got to have the right plan to put him up there. But I know what Chris Godwin is, and the coaches know what he is as far as his capabilities are concerned. And if he’s in the right spot, Chris Godwin can be a real difference maker. He can create a turnover.”
Turnovers are not typically things receivers create, and if they do, it’s typically a very bad thing for their team.
So, naturally, it really looks like Jones doesn’t know who in the heck Godwin is.
Then again, Godwin does have 104 catches for 1,023 yards and three touchdowns this season, so one would think that Jones would know who the guy with that kind of stat-line is heading into the game.
And, honestly, it’s really hard to understand exactly what he was saying in that quote. So, maybe he does know who Godwin was, but just wasn’t making much sense?
Or maybe he just doesn’t know who Godwin is.
Either way, Godwin would probably love for Jones to know exactly who he is by the end of Monday night.
