Current measures insufficient to slow rapid coronavirus variants’ spread: Tam

Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said on Friday that the current public health measures are insufficient to slow the rapid growth of cases caused by variants of the novel coronavirus. She called on local authorities and individuals for early, strong and sustained measures to get ahead of the variants’ spread.
