Crystal Palace in talks with Nuno over managerial position

Crystal Palace and Nuno have been involved in days of talks over their vacant managerial position.
The Athletic understands the former Wolves manager is a serious candidate to take over at Selhurst Park with negotiations on-going with his representative. Palace are looking to replace Roy Hodgson, who left the south London club at the end of last season.
Nuno is available after leaving Wolves, who he managed for four seasons. The Portuguese is likely to want to bring an extensive backroom staff with him if he joins Palace — which could be a potential stumbling block — and it remains to be seen whether competition yet emerges for his signature.
What did Nuno achieve at Wolves?
Nuno came into Wolves in May 2017 and earned them promotion to the Premier League in his first season with the club.
He immediately settled in the top flight, winning the manager of the month award in his second month in the division. Nuno and Wolves finished seventh that season, earning qualification for the Europa League in the process.
In 2019-20, he managed another seventh place finish and took them to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
This season was more difficult, with Wolves finishing 13th.
What is the situation at Palace?
Palace are looking to find a new manager to replace Hodgson, who left them after four years in charge this summer.
