Cowboys vs. Buccaneers score: Live updates, odds, TV, live stream for ‘Sunday Night Football’

Cowboys #Cowboys

At halftime of the first “Sunday Night Football” game of the 2022 NFL season, the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers lead the host Dallas Cowboys 12-3.

Tampa moved the ball with relative ease throughout the half, averaging 6.4 yards per play. But the Bucs saw each of their first three drives stall out deep in Dallas territory before settling for field goal attempts — one of which Ryan Succop hooked to the left. The Cowboys did not get much of anything going offensively after their first drive, registering consecutive three-and-outs before Dak Prescott was picked off by Antoine Winfield Jr. deep in Dallas territory.

But with a chance to score the game’s first touchdown, the Bucs again had to settle for a field goal after Micah Parsons picked up his second sack of the game — both of them on third-down plays inside the 10-yard line. Dallas responded by again quickly punting the ball back to the Bucs, who got into scoring position on their final drive of the half thanks to a monster catch down the right sideline by Julio Jones. But the Bucs stalled out once again, and settled for their fourth field goal of the contest.

Will Tampa hold on to its lead, or will Dallas stage a second-half comeback? Keep it locked to our live blog throughout the second half as we update you with all the stats, scores, and highlights.
