Cowboys Ex Ryan Switzer’s Infant Son Dealing With Mysterious Bleeding

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Switzer’s infant son is dealing with mysterious issue with “significant bleeding.”

“They’re calling this a ‘vascular anomaly’ from somewhere in his GI tract that they just haven’t found yet,” said Switzer, now with the Cleveland Browns, said on Twitter.

In early March, Switzer and wife Gabie found that their son Christian woke up “in his blood” and tested positive for COVID-19.

Surgery was performed on Christian to find the source of the bleeding. The bleeding stopped for a time but has continued to be an issue for the infant.

Doctors have been unable to diagnose the cause of the bleeding.

Switzer is using social media to express his gratitude who all of those who are praying for Christian.

Said Switzer: “I also wanted to share Gabie’s and I appreciation for everyone who is lifting our son up in prayer. We know there are so many things everyone could be praying about and the fact you are interceding to God on our son’s behalf is so heartwarming. Here’s to some good news tomorrow.”

Switzer, now 26, came out of North Carolina as a fourth-round pick of the Cowboys in the 2017 NFL Draft. Before moving to the Browns, he played for Raiders and for the Pittsburgh Steelers and has publicly thanked Steelers GM Kevin Colbert and the Steelers organization for their support.
