Could Olivia Rodrigo break Ticketmaster? Ticketing site warns of high demand

After skyrocketing to stardom in 2021 with hits like “Driver’s license” and “Good 4 u,” pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo will be returning to Nashville March 9, 2024 – spilling her guts at Bridgestone Arena. Rodrigo first played Nashville in May 2022 during her “Sour” tour.

Rodrigo announced her “Guts” world tour Sept. 13 and since then demand for tickets has been massive. Despite adding additional dates to satisfy the demand, there are still more registered fans than tickets available, Ticketmaster announced Tuesday.

“To create a better shopping experience, a limited number of fans will get access to the sale based on ticket availability and most fans will be placed on the waitlist,” said the ticketing giant. “Please remember, receiving a code does not guarantee tickets.”

The American Express early access and registration onsale could only be accessed by randomly chosen individuals who registered during early access registration and received a unique access code. This sale closed on Sept. 17.

How can you obtain tickets to Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Guts’ tour?

For fans who were able to register, the American Express early access presale will be starting today at 3 p.m. and ending on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. The registration onsale will begin Thursday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. and end on Friday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m.

You’re on the Olivia Rodrigo waitlist, now what?

If tickets remain after the initial group of fans are given the opportunity to shop, additional fans may be chosen at random from the waitlist and invited to shop the sale.

If you are selected from the list, you will be notified via text message and receive an email including a unique access code and purchase link. You may be notified at any time after tickets go on sale.

You have your access code, how can you join the sale?

Using the link sent to you by Ticketmaster, you will be able to join the waiting room, be sure to sign in to your Ticketmaster account with the same email and password used for registration. You will then be placed in the queue where you will be able to enter the access code.

How much will tickets cost?

Standard tickets will range from $49.50 to $199.50 not including taxes and applicable fees. Charity Platinum and VIP packages will also be available for purchase.

A portion of these proceeds from all ticket sales will go to Rodrigo’s ‘Fund 4 Good,’ a global initiative which supports reproductive rights, women and girls education and works to prevent gender-based violence.
