Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street’s Fiz Stape receives an unexpected job offer tonight (June 7), but there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) is currently working at Gary Windass’s secondhand furniture shop, but needs more money coming into the household now that Tyrone Dobbs has walked out on her.

In Monday night’s double bill, Tyrone’s new partner Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) is intrigued to learn that Underworld is looking for new machinists.

Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) needs to extend the workforce in order to meet the demands of a big new order, but she’s struggling to find suitable candidates.

Alina steps in and suggests that Fiz would be perfect, reminding Sarah that she has worked at Underworld before.

Later on, Sarah goes ahead and offers Fiz some hours as a machinist.

Fiz is worried that this would clash with her commitments at the furniture shop, but Sarah promises that she can be flexible.

Fiz is delighted, but is thrown when Sarah mentions that it was all Alina’s idea.

Already unsettled by this, Fiz gets another shock when she goes to pick up the girls from the salon flat.

Fiz finds that Alina has allowed Hope to try out some false eyelashes, after Hope convinced her that Mummy wouldn’t mind.

After the day’s events, will another row break out between Fiz and Alina?

Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
