Conor McGregor looks absolutely shredded in his latest Instagram post, preparing for UFC 257.
Conor McGregor has officially begun his training camp for his upcoming UFC return, where he will rematch Dustin Poirier in a fight that the Irishman won handedly in 2014. The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion has been out of competition since a January first-round stoppage of Donald Cerrone.
After a brief retirement in June and an uncertain future looming, McGregor made the decision to return to the Octagon in a quest to redeem the lightweight championship.
Ahead of the highly anticipated pay-per-view return, McGregor took to Instagram to show off his current form, and it’s safe to say that McGregor is well on his way to a perfect weight-cutting routine.
“155 and they scraper,” McGregor wrote as the caption, hinting that once he hits that mark, it’s time to fight.
Conor McGregor hasn’t won a championship fight since 2016.
McGregor hasn’t felt gold around his waist since a 2016 TKO of Eddie Alvarez, as he became a double-champ in front of a sold out Madison Square Garden. He would eventually go on to box Floyd Mayweather before beginning his rivalry with current lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Only time will tell if McGregor permanently sticks around, but he is kicking off 2021 with a bang, literally and figuratively.
