Conor McGregor has taken aim at his old rival Paulie Malignaggi in a deleted tweet ahead of them potentially reuniting tonight.
The UFC icon and former boxing world champion share a bitter feud that famously stems from their sparring session before McGregor’s fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

McGregor’s deleted tweet posted on Saturday
Malignaggi flew out to help the Irishman prepare for his crossover boxing bout, only for clips of their sparring sessions to be publicly leaked by McGregor’s team.
The Italian-American still disputes an apparent knockdown shown in one of the videos, and the pair became rivals as a result.
Malignaggi still gets asked about McGregor to this day.
Tonight, he is set to work as a commentator for Sky on the Liam Smith vs Chris Eubank Jr rematch tonight, which is live on talkSPORT.
And he gave an interview this week ahead of the fight in which he said McGregor has ‘no balls’ and so would never agreed to a winner-takes-all fight against him to settle their old feud.
On Saturday, McGregor tweeted a screenshot from the interview which saw Malignaggi standing in front of an advertising board which featured a logo of the UFC star’s beverage company Forged Irish Stout.
He captioned it: “Goes down lovely! @ForgedStout.”
McGregor’s company is sponsoring the Smith vs Eubank Jr rematch, so he is also set to be in attendance at the fight.
There will be a lot of interested observers waiting to see what happens if he and Malignaggi reunite.
