Favorites to win the Conn Smythe Trophy
Colorado Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon leads the early Conn Smythe Trophy race at +325 odds. MacKinnon’s Avalanche are the favorites to win the Stanley Cup and he’s been a huge reason why, scoring a team-high nine points in a first-round sweep of the St. Louis Blues after notching 65 points in 48 regular-season games to lead Colorado to first place in the West.
We’ve seen a lot of great goaltending early in the playoffs and Tuukka Rask has been one of the best. After leading the Boston Bruins to a first-round win over the Washinton Capitals, Rask is second on the board at +700.
A couple of star forwards who often find their names atop this list slot in right behind Rask, including his teammate David Pastrnak, who is fourth at +800.
Right ahead of Pastrnak is the 2019 NHL MVP, Nikita Kucherov. The Tampa Bay Lightning stud has been a beast after missing the entire regular season recovering from hip surgery, as he leads all skaters with 11 playoff points as of May 30.
Marc-Andre Fleury, among the top goalies throughout the playoffs so far, rounds out the Top 5 at +850 after leading the Vegas Golden Knights to a first-round win over the Minnesota Wild in a series that went the distance.
